Each month, Pokemon GO’s rotation of Raid battles changes. Raid battles are a great way to get powerful and rare Pokemon and they are also one of the easiest ways to get shiny Pokemon.
Pokemon GO: How To Get Charcadet, Armarouge, & Ceruledge
Charcadet, and its evolutions Armarouge and Ceruledge, are making their Pokemon GO debut! Here’s how you can get them.
March has a pretty impressive lineup of Pokemon to choose from. There are legendaries, shadow Pokemon, and primal Pokemon featured throughout the month. The guide below will break down each type of Raid and what players can expect.
All March 2024 Raids
March 2024 will have a great assortment of Pokemon featured in Raid battles. From shadow Pokemon (Mewtwo and Raikou), to legendary Pokemon (Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, & Regice), and even Mega Pokemon (Tyranitar, Sceptile, & Venusaur). These Raids will be scattered throughout March, but each Raid type is broken up into its own section below.
Mega Raids
Mega Raids are quite difficult in Pokemon GO and usually take five or more trainers to defeat the feature Pokemon. This month, Mega Sceptile, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Venusaur will be featured in Mega Raids. These Pokemon are very powerful and are great for farming Mega Energy. Each of the featured Pokemon will have a shiny form available, which is all the more reason to battle them!

Shadow Raids
Shadow Raids will be pretty scarce this month. Shadow Raikou will make an appearance throughout March’s Saturdays and Sundays. The Pokemon is an Electric-type with weakness to Ground-type moves. Players should avoid bringing Electric, Flying, or Steel-type Pokemon and moves into battle against Shadow Raikou since the Pokemon has resistance to these typings.

Five-Star Raids
Fire-Star Raids always feature legendary Pokemon from the franchise. This month three returning Pokemon, Tapu Koko, Regice, and Tapu Lele, will be appearing in Five-Star Raids. These Pokemon will be around for about two weeks each. None of these Pokemon are particularly difficult to take down, assuming there are enough players in each Raid battle. The shiny form of these Pokemon will be available and defeating them in Raid battles is one of the best ways to shiny hunt them in Pokemon GO, so players should take advantage of this opportunity.

All March 2024 Raid Hours
Raid Hours are extremely useful events as they give players a greatly increased chance of coming across the Pokemon featured. During the specified Raid Hours, the featured Pokemon will spawn in Raid battles at much higher rates than normal. There are usually many players out during Raid Hours, so there’s also a greater chance that players will be able to take down the boss.
Raid Hours in March will feature Tapu Koko (March 6 & 13), Regice (March 20), and Tapu Lele (March 27). All of the Pokemon featured this month will have shiny forms available in the game, so it’s a great time to knock out as many Raids as possible to increase the chances of grabbing one. Shiny odds are usually around 1/20, so completing as many Raids as possible in the specified hour is the only way to ensure an encounter.

All March 2024 Raid Days
Raid Days in Pokemon GO feature a specific Pokemon in Raid battles for an entire day. This is basically a Raid Hour but ramped up. It’s a great chance for players to get their hands on some Pokemon that don’t appear very often and the Pokemon featured are usually extremely powerful. This month, the featured Raid Day Pokemon are Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, and Shadow Mewtwo. All three of these Pokemon are variants of their legendary counterparts. Their shiny forms are all in the game so players should do their best to battle and catch as many as possible for a chance to grab one.
