Elden Ring: How To Start New Game Plus
Elden Ring’s New Game Plus offers two starting options, each with factors to consider before diving into Journey 2.
One such Talisman, the Winged Sword Insignia, can be acquired shortly after arriving in the Liurnia of Lakes. You can obtain this Talisman by defeating the boss lurking within the Stillwater Cave. How To Reach Liurnia Of The Lakes
Reaching the Stillwater Cave can be challenging as it is concealed below the Lake-Facing Cliffs. Accessing this area requires reaching the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace, which can be done in two ways:
- Defeat Godrick: Upon defeating Godrick, the final boss within Stormveil Castle, you can proceed north to exit the castle, leading you directly to Liurnia of the Lakes. Emerging from Stormveil Castle, the first site of grace you’ll discover is the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace.
- Avoid Stormveil Castle: If you do not wish to confront Margit or Godrick within Stormveil Castle, you can also take an alternative path. By going east of Stormveil Castle, you can circumvent the castle entirely through a narrow path along the valley that also leads you to the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace in Liurnia of Lakes. This route provides a detour around Stormveil Castle, granting access to Stillwater Cave without the need to challenge the two difficult bosses guarding the castle.
Stillwater Cave Location
From the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace, head northwest to reach the Liurnia Lake Shore site of grace, which is located on the ground level. Referring to the provided image, place a beacon on your map at the designated spot for easier orientation and navigation.
Mount Torrent and travel southward until you arrive at the beacon. Once there, keep an eye out for two jellyfish lurking near the trees. Beyond them lies the entrance to Stillwater Cave. Prepare yourself for a tough challenge within this mini-dungeon, particularly if you’re underleveled.
Stillwater Cave is full of perilous obstacles, including poisonous water, servants of rot, and giant poisonous flowers. Approach with caution and readiness for combat.

Elden Ring adopting Sekiro-style power scaling in Shadow of the Erdtree is inspired. If it works well, it should be the standard going forward.
Where To Find Winged Sword Insignia
Navigate through the Stillwater Cave until you reach the boss room. Traverse through the mist to confront the dungeon’s boss, the Cleanrot Knight. Be mindful of the poisonous water within the boss room, so make sure you don’t drag on the fight for too long.
Try to keep the fight to the few patches of safe flooring near the sides of the room.
Upon defeating the Cleanrot Knight, your efforts are rewarded with a bounty of runes and the Winged Sword Insignia Talisman.
Equipping the Winged Sword Insignia Talisman enhances your offensive abilities, increasing your attack power with each successive attack. Notably, this effect begins from the third consecutive hit and becomes ineffective if you fail to land an attack within 1.5 seconds of the previous one. This Talisman can be especially effective for those dual-wielding quick-striking weapons.
The potency of The talisman improves with each tier, increasing your attack power by 3%, 5%, and 10%, respectively.
