Elden Ring incorporates pyromancies from other Souls games into incantations. These spells focus on dealing significant amounts of fire damage to your enemies, now scaling primarily off of your faith stat. As you progress through the game, you’ll get access to stronger incantations – with the fire-based ones, it usually means simply throwing a larger fireball.

After the capitol, you’ll enter the land of the giants and learn more about their strong fire affinity while also finding multiple fire incantations to use yourself. While many incantations are scattered around the world, some will require prayer books to be found. Giving these books to specific NPCs will allow you to purchase new incantations from that NPC, and in one instance, Giantsflame Take Thee.

Where To Find Giantsflame Take Thee

To get Giantsflame Take Thee, you must first find the Giants Prayerbook and then take it to one of the incantation-selling NPCs. The Giants Prayerbook is located in the Guardian’s Garrison in the northern mountains of the Lands Between. To find this prayerbook, you must head into the garrison and fight your way to the higher levels. You’ll have to break the barrels of the upper section to find an opening to jump through the scaffolding below to climb to the highest area.

After facing Chief Guardian Arghanthy, head into the tower he just came out of. Climb the ladder to reach the highest section, where you’ll find a chest containing the prayer book. Take this prayerbook to either Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor Of Vows. Whoever is given the book will now be able to sell Giantsflame Take Thee for 13,000 runes. This book will also give them the ability to sell Flame, Fall Upon Thee for 10,000 runes.

How To Use Giantsflame Take Thee

Giantsflame Take Thee requires 30 faith to memorize and 30 FP to cast. Giantsflame Take Thee also costs two slots to memorize, but it is more than worth it. This incantation deals fire damage and can be charged for a longer cast time but more damage and a wider area of effect. The initial contact and explosion of the incantation can also knock back smaller enemies. This is one of the strongest fire-based attacks and one of the best incantations in the game.

This spell has very high damage, making it an excellent option for bosses and incredible damage for those weak to fire damage. The area of effect also makes this spell an excellent option for larger groups of small enemies. The additional time to charge this spell before throwing it will leave you open for an attack to cancel it, but should you time your casts correctly, constant charging will help maximize your damage with this incantation. This incantation is a must-have if you have at least 30 faith or above.
