IRCTC-Swiggy Tie-Up: In the first phase, the facility will start at four railway stations — Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a tie-up with food delivery platform Swiggy to supply pre-ordered meals through IRCTC’s e-catering portal. In the first phase, the facility will start at four railway stations — Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
“IRCTC has tied up with Bundl Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Swiggy Foods) for supply and delivery of pre-ordered meals through IRCTC e-catering portal as a PoC (Proof of Concept) in the first phase at four Railway stations i.e. Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada & Visakhapatnam,” IRCTC said in a BSE filing on Thursday, February 22.
It said the e-catering service through Bundl Technologies Pvt Ltd (Swiggy Foods) “may be available soon”.
