We all know him as the ruthless rouge in Rockstar Games’ Wild West adventure where he’s not too shy with his revolver or his lasso either, but the loveable rogue has a much softer side to him and instead of going out looking for a fight as he stumbles out of a bar, as most cowboys do, Mr Morgan loves nothing more than whispering sweet drunk nothing’s to his beloved and patient horse.

There’s really nothing to dislike about Arthur Morgan. He may be a little rough around the edges and might have a slippy trigger finger at times, and yes, he may have killed his fair share of innocent people, but all in all, he’s a pretty okay guy for an outlaw. Things get pretty stressful out in the Wild West, what with bounties put on your head, robbers after your loot, and crocodiles looking to rip your legs off and all, so a little downtime with a couple of glasses of whiskey never harms anyone.
That’s exactly what Arthur does to relax and, most of the time, he has a bit too much. When this happens, he loves nothing more than being as wholesome as possible with his horse. TikTok user and Red Dead Redemption fan ShoutLexi has stitched together a clip of all the times Arthur sang and talked drunkenly to his horse, and it’s actually really sweet, regardless of what you think of the game’s “villain”.
Depending on what gender Arthur’s horse is, he will say things like “Ahh there’s my best girl in the world!” while meeting his horse after a boozy session at the bar. Other drunk Arthur slurrings include “Don’t you go judging me too”, as he tries his best to get into the saddle.
One of the best ones has to be when Arthur is so drunk he’s not too sure if the horse he’s getting onto is his by stating “I hope you’re mine?”. Although, maybe one of the saddest ones is how Arthur has always felt misunderstood and, after a few drinks, this is amplified by his “You understand me”, as he drunkenly pets his horse.
