Baldur’s Gate 3 allows you to truly make the world your own. One choice you need to make is to free a Pixie. Here’s everything you need to know.

This origin character will still have players creating their character however they want but will offer all sorts of unique encounters, abilities, and a new path for the story of the game to take. One benefit of choosing The Dark Urge is eventually unlocking the Slayer Form; here’s how to get it.

How To Unlock The Slayer Form

Isobel In The Last Light Inn

The first step in unlocking the Slayer Form is to select The Dark Urge as your character and progress to Act 2 of the game. At Last Light Inn, go to Isobel’s room and fight off the attack, saving her in the process. After this encounter, take a long rest, and Sceleritas Fel will meet you and give you your next target: Isobel.

Players will now need to return to Last Light Inn and kill Isobel. Be warned, her death will lead to the Inn giving in to the Shadow Curse, all NPC’s will become zombies, and the player will have to fight and kill Jaheira. After Isobel has been killed and the Inn has cleared out zombies, take another long rest and meet with Sceleritas Fel who will reward you with The Slayer Form.

How To Use The Slayer Form

The Dark Urge As The Slayer Form

The Slayer Form works a lot like Wild Shape in that players can turn into the Slayer and will stay as that creature until their hitpoints hit zero; they transform back or take a long rest. If your hitpoints as the Slayer reach zero in combat, you’ll simply turn back into your character in whatever status you first transformed in, essentially giving players a second health bar.

The Slayer has multiple brutal melee attacks, some of which that cause bleeding. This effect can only be used once a day and takes an action to use. Taking a long rest will restore use of the Slayer Form. Proceeding to Act 3 and facing Orin with the Slayer Form will lead to a unique encounter and a new path to the end of the game.
