How to Remove Teahouse Quest Marker

With a game as massive as Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s easy to excuse the occasional bug or crash that can occur during a playthrough. In most cases, these issues don’t persist for too long and can be fixed by simply reloading an earlier save and avoiding the trigger. However, some are trickier to solve than others.

How To Get Rid Of Teahouse Quest Marker

After extensive testing, one surefire method of removing the Teahouse marker the community has figured out is to travel to the Underdark using the passage in the Overgrown Tunnel in Auntie Ethel’s lair. Presuming you’ve already cleared the area of all enemies while you were completing the quest, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go back to the Gnarled Door leading into the Overgrown Tunnel (the tree face door that talks to you near Lorin’s location.)

  2. Pick up one of the Whispering Masks on the table to the right of the door (If they’re not there, you likely already have them in your inventory.)
  3. Enter the Overgrown Tunnel where you see the Noxious fumes blocking the path.

  4. Go down one level using the ladder and look for a platform to the right you can jump to. This one will have another Gnarled Door, but this one cannot be interacted with (pictured above).
  5. Put the Whispering Mask on one of your party members who has the highest WIS score and have them pass through the Gnarled Door. Follow with your party.
  6. Take off the Whispering Mask once your entire party is on the other side.

  7. Interact with the mushroom circle on the ground, and you’ll suddenly find yourself in the Underdark.

And that’s it! Fast travel back to one of the waypoints on the surface and look for the Teahouse marker on the map; it should now be gone.
