Many magic-oriented builds tend to be glass cannons, focusing on keeping their distance and dealing massive amounts of damage. Sorceries in Elden Ring are very powerful. With intelligence-heavy builds, they can do heavy damage to bosses in just seconds. While there are many ways to boost your sorcery’s damage, these bonuses can be stacked together to multiply your damage.

One of these bonuses is the Terra Magica spell, which places an aura that boosts the magical damage of those within it. While it does require some effort, and many may skip over it entirely, it is well worth the effort to go and find.

Where To Find The Terra Magica Spell

The Terra Magica spell is located in one of the high towers of the Raya Lucaria Academy. While it’s located at the top of one of the towers, you have to start from far outside the academy to find this sorcery. Start from the Temple Quarter site of grace to the west of the academy. From here, head towards the cliffs of the academy, and follow the cliffs north. You will eventually reach a fog door that will require two stonesword keys to open.

Once inside the Academy Crystal Cave, fight your way through the short dungeon until you reach the Crystalian (Spear) and Crystalian (Staff) boss. Defeat the boss, but do not teleport to the entrance of the cave, head to the back of the cave to the structured stone wall and take the elevator to the top. At the top of the elevator, head outside and climb the ladder to the right. Continue to climb the tower to the top, where you’ll find the chest with the spell within.

How To Use Terra Magica

This spell requires one memory slot to have ready, 20 intelligence to use, and 20 FP to cast. This sorcery is more support-oriented, as it creates a magical sigil that boosts the magic damage for those within. This spell perfectly combos with a summoned ally or spirit ash. Having something to distract your enemy will allow the caster to fight within the sigil and deal even more magic damage than usual. This spell’s bonus is applied to allies or ashes that fight within the sigil, allowing you to double up the bonus if there are two spell casters.

The downside to this spell is the sigil size. Should an enemy approach, there is only so much room to move around and try to avoid their attacks. This spell can be effective when an enemy runs up, but once they reach you, it can be very difficult to utilize this spell for ranged attacks. Bringing a melee sorcery or strong melee weapon that matches your build would help you stand your ground in those types of situations.
