Although it is still in the early access phase, Enshrouded already features a massive world with a lot of resources to discover, many weapons and gear to craft, and even more eerie enemies to deal with. As you make progress in the game, you will unlock new recipes that require new materials.

A Lump of Clay is one of the materials required for building a Kiln, but you may not be able to find it in the early game areas. The key to finding this raw material is to explore the world toward the north and discover the lush forests of the game.

Where To Find Lump Of Clay
Before you can collect Lump of Clay, we strongly suggest you activate the Revelwood Ancient Spire, which is a key fast travel point. As shown on the map above, the Revelwood Spire is located on the northeast of Braelyn Bridge, which is the area where you start the game.
Once you are in the Revelwood Spire, you can head towards two different mines of clay. The closest one is located on the west side of the spire. Just exit from the west gate of the vault and continue straight until you reach a giant cliff. On the wall of the cliff, you can spot a single mine for Lump of Clay. Dig it using a Pickaxe to collect the material.
If you need a bigger source of Lump of Clay, head to the top floor of the spire. Now, stand on top of the southeastern corner of the building, as shown above, and glide towards the other side of the Deadly Shroud zone.
Make sure that your stamina is fully charged before attempting this!
Once you land on the other side, move straight to the other side of the hill in front of you, and you will spot a small farm with a few buildings. Move toward the building with an orange roof — Lush Pasture. You will find a hole in the ground before you reach the house. If you go down, there is a big clay mine there. Also, if you head behind the house, there is another big mine on the wall of a giant cliff.
Collecting Lumps of Clay will help you build a Kiln, and then you can make bricks to build a Smelter.
