One thing that fans were upset about is the fate of the Githyanki Egg that players are able to obtain in Act 1 of the game. Considering Larian Studios is so diligent, they have finally patched this so that Lae’zel can raise the egg. Here’s how to get Lae’zel to raise it.
How To Get The Githyanki Egg
In order to get the Githyanki Egg, you will need to head to the Githyanki Creche during Act 1. Once there, you can find the Githyanki Egg in the Hatchery. Once you speak to the Githyanki there, he will allow you to take the egg since it still has not hatched. Once that happens, you have a few options.
- Give the Githyanki Egg to Lady Esther (this causes the Githyanki to grow up and kill everyone in the Society of Brilliance).
- Keep the Githyanki Egg yourself (this causes the egg to lay dormant in your inventory).
- Give Lae’zel the Githyanki Egg (this allows Lae’zel to become its mother).
How To Give The Githyanki Egg To Lae’zel
With one of the patches for Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios created a new dialogue option to ask Lae’zel to take the Githyanki Egg. She will be hesitant at first, but will gladly take the egg. Once this happens, the egg stays with Lae’zel until the epilogue of the game. Once you make it to the epilogue, you can ask Lae’zel how the egg is doing. She will tell you that it has hatched since the ending of the game and the Githyanki inside is doing amazing.
