While you’re working against The Absolute in Baldur’s Gate, you will have to reach the Guildhall, which is where The Guild meets. Here’s a guide to help you reach the Guildhall.
What Is The Guildhall?
The Guildhall is an area in the Lower City Sewers where The Guild spends their time. This is a criminal organization that works in Baldur’s Gate and is run by Nine-Fingers Keene. Chances are that you will need to come to the Guildhall at some point in the game, whether you’re helping Jaheira track down Minsc, looking for Mol in Act 3, or you are deciding to side with either The Guild or The Zhentarim. Since there are some important parts of the game that take place in the Guildhall, it only makes sense that you need to access it.
How To Access The Guildhall
You can access the Guildhall in a couple of ways.
- Through The Lower City’s Sewers
- By convincing the Orc guarding the entrance
- Through The Lower City
Here is a breakdown of each.
Accessing The Guildhall Via The City Sewers
The fastest way into the Guildhall is by going into the manhole that is located just outside the Basilisk Gate Barracks. You will then be inside the sewers and can jump to the other side of the room you’re in and make it directly to the Guildhall’s bar.
Accessing The Guildhall Via The Lower City
Accessing the Guildhall through The Lower City is definitely the easiest way. However, you cannot do this until you have entered the Guildhall or you have obtained a Guild Ring, which can be found in a chest just inside the home near the Orc guarding the entrance.
Convince The Orc To Let You Into The Guildhall
The final way into the Guildhall is by convincing the Orc standing guard to let you in. All you need to do is pass a few checks, and you can talk your way in.
Alternatively, if you encounter Guild members locked in a battle near Wyrm’s Crossing’s shoreline, you can let the Orc know and go in.
