How To Fix Depressed Status

While there is a lot about Palworld that serves to distract you from the realities of the world, every now and then, it presents you with a mechanic that might hit a little too close to home. For example, the way that your Pals will respond to camp work can have some very real effects on their personality, attitude, and emotions. This includes a Depressed status, which, while it solicits some laughs when first seen, does require your attention to try and stave off any negative effects that it comes with.

Palworld: How To Get Sulfur

Sulfur is a higher-level resource you’ll need for some high-level recipes in Palworld. This guide covers where to find this rare resource.

The Depressed status comes about when the grind just becomes too much for the Pal, and they have been doing their tasks, non-stop, without a break or chance to relax. This requires you to check in with your Pals frequently and make sure they are feeling okay to prevent this ailment from worsening and impacting on your camp’s productivity. Remedying this illness is different from other ailments like Hungry or Injury, as you need to do something a little special to get it fixed quickly. In order to accomplish this whole task, you are going to have to build a Medieval Medicine Workbench in order to craft the High Quality Medical Supplies you need.

How To Administer High Grade Medical Supplies

Palworld - Depressed Chikipi

You now have High Grade Medical Supplies for your Pal, but there are a few ways to deliver it to your Pals:

  • For a Pal that is in your Party, open your Inventory and select the High Grade Medical Supplies. This will bring up a window of your Pals, so choose the Depressed one, and you will use the medicine to cure the Depression.
  • For a Pal that is working at your Camp, walk up to it and interact with it to choose the Feed option. Choose the High Grade Medical Supplies from the menu that pops up.
  • If the Pal is in your Palbox, assign them to your Party or Camp and follow the instructions for whichever one you choose.

Another slower method for curing Depression is to place the Pal in your Palbox. Over time, the Depressed status will be cured and go away, but this can take some time and using the High Grade Medical Supplies is just faster. Plus, it really doesn’t require a ton of resources in order to craft, so there’s not a real reason to not do it.
