How To Find & Recruit Betty

The Lucky Lu's Location On The Galaxy & System Map

To find Betty, players will need to head to the Heinlein system, which is much further towards the right side of the galaxy and a later-game system. The recommended level for this system is 45, but players are able to get in and get Betty without any encounters.

Within the system, look at the planet Heinlein I, the planet closest to the sun. There will be an icon labeled “Distress Call” next to the planet in the system map, which can be selected to take the player to the Lucky Lu. Board this ship and find Betty, who is currently stranded, and invite her to join your crew. She will ask for a single Ship Part, but giving it to her will add a permanent companion.

Where To Get Ship Parts & Betty’s Skills

Betty Being Recruited By The Player

Ship Parts are fairly easy to come across in the galaxy, as they are given by many ships when saved from getting attacked by Spacers, or can be purchased from most major stores such as Jemison Mercantile. If players don’t have a Ship Part to give Betty, they can leave and get one, returning anytime to pick Betty up.

Betty has three ranks of Demolitions, making her very effective in combat with an explosive-style weapon should players have her follow them. She also has a single rank in Missile Weapon Systems, which is fairly helpful for ships that use missiles more than anything else.
