Guide To Necromancer Paragon Glyphs

Diablo 4 has several rewarding things to do when you’ve finished the campaign. These things all grant you experience, which instead of being spent on new abilities is spent on your character’s Paragon Board. In the Paragon Board, you can customize your character’s build by selecting nodes and socketing Paragon Glyphs.

Diablo 4: Necromancer Shadowmancer Build

Diablo 4’s Necromancer class is a powerhouse. This guide breaks down the best gear, aspects, skills, and specializations for the Shadowmancer build.

Each class has its own Paragon Glyphs, some of which you will unlock automatically and some that you’ll need to hunt down. Keep reading for tips on where to find Paragon Glyphs, a complete list of the Necromancer’s Paragon Glyphs, and which ones are the best.

Updated by Abigail Angell on January 26th, 2024: Due to balancing changes introduced with Season of the Construct, this guide needed an update. Not only have all Glyph effects been brought in line with patch 1.3, but the tier list has also been revised to reflect the latest Meta trends.

How To Get Paragon Glyphs

All of your classes’ Magic Glyphs will be unlocked automatically at level 50, but you will need to hunt down the Rare Glyphs. To obtain Rare Glyphs, you’ll need to pick them up as drops from Elites and Bosses (or rarely in a Vendors Shop or chest). This means that the most efficient way to get Paragon Glyphs is to farm Nightmare Dungeons due to their density of Elite enemies and guaranteed Boss at the end.

Blizzard has introduced the idea of special event Glyphs, such as the one available from the 2022 Abatoir of Zir Event. If you’re having trouble getting a glyph, especially if it is unfamiliar to you, see if a similar event is currently running.

Best Paragon Glyphs For Necromancers

Five different types of rare Paragon Glyphs

Necromancers have struggled to find their place in the end-game meta, with the least number of viable builds of any class. However, many glyphs are high on the tier list.

Control

This is a build-agnostic glyph that many choose to place on their first Paragon Board. This glyph gives additional damage against Crowd Controlled targets, especially Frozen and Stunned ones. The Necromancer’s kit is overflowing with ways to proc this glyph, from Cold Skeletal Mages to Corpse Tendrils.

Territorial

This Glyph is doing very well in recent Metas because of the buffs to Reap, and the remaining popularity of the Infinimist Build. It is a very straightforward glyph that provides additional damage to close targets, and damage reduction against them.

Sacrificial

With the reduction in survivability of the Necromancer’s Minions and the recent focus on hazards such as traps, most Necromancers sacrifice their minions. This means that any abilities targeted to solo Necromancers, such as the Sacrificial Glyph, are currently high in the meta.

Blood-drinker

This glyph assists the Necromancer in generating Fortify, a key mechanic for late-game survivability. All that is required is Blood Orbs, something that most Necromancers will create incidentally as they play, but can also increase through abilities such as Blood Mist.
