Every Stat, Explained

Best Stats In Early Game, Palworld

There are six stats that you can put your points into after leveling up. Each level up only gives you a single point, so you should think ahead of time about where you want that point to go.

  • Health: Increases the total health of the player
  • Stamina: Increases the total stamina of the player
  • Attack: Increase the damage players can deal
  • Defense: Decreases the amount of damage players take
  • Work Speed: Increases the rate at which players complete work
  • Weight: Increases the carrying capacity of the player

If you’re a survival game enthusiast, you might be tempted to put all of your early game levels into work speed or defense. However, this is not how you should operate, at least at the start. You should focus on the following stats at first:

  • Stamina: By far the most important stat in the game is Stamina. Fighting a monster? It consumes stamina. Cutting down a tree? Stamina. Climbing or running? Even more stamina. The player’s stamina increases in small increments, but it’s well-worth the effort you put in when you can farm for that much longer and progress through the game more smoothly.
  • HP: Having more Hitpoints means you’re more likely to survive in the wild. The monsters in Palworld are surprisingly scary and leave a mean scar if you’re not careful. Dying is very normal, and having that little extra bit of HP can mean the difference between the game over and surviving to live another day.

Defense isn’t super important and is more easily buffed by building better gear.

  • Attack: The best way to level up in Palworld isn’t through complex crafting, or resource farming. The fastest way to level up is by catching more and more Pals. And you will need to have a high attack damage if you want to capture pals without spending a lot of time whittling down their health.

Work speed is inconsequential at the start and only comes into play when you’re building complex projects in the late game. If you want to have an easier time later on, you might want to spec into it, but it’s almost useless at the start. You’ll spend most of your time gathering resources rather than creating structures or doing projects.

Weight is an important thing to consider in Palworld. The default weight limit isn’t particularly high, so you will need to return to your base and store your loot fairly often. If you want to be rid of the hassle, then it makes sense to put some points into weight as well.

Can You Respec in Palworld?

Can you Respec in Palworld

Simply put, yes! You can absolutely respec your character in Palworld. However, this is not an advisable route to take for two main reasons:

  • The method of regaining your spent stat points is extremely resource-intensive and is not worth it in many cases.
  • Currently, there’s a known bug that will reduce the player’s capture power after they redistribute their stat points.

However, if you are still gung-ho about changing your playstyle and messing around with your stat points, you can do so using the Memory Wiping Medicine. You will need to fulfill the following requirements to obtain this medicine:

Once you have the Electric Medicine Workbench, you can use it to create the Memory Wiping Medicine.
