The Grymforge is an old Adamantine Forge that has been taken over by the Cult Of The Absolute. While there is already so much players will be focused on while exploring this area, many may come across an object known as the Devilfoil Mask.

Infernal Legion Effect

The Devilfoil Mask In The Character's Inventory

Those who wear the Devilfoil mask will get the Infernal Legion effect. With only one mask, this will not do anything, as this effect builds with more character is the party also wearing masks. For each additional character in the party wearing a Devilfoil Mask, each of their strength will increase by 1, but their Intelligence, Charisma, and Wisdom will decrease by one.

If all four characters in the party wear a mask, all of their strength will increase by 3, while their Intelligence, Wisdom, and charisma will decrease by 3. This effect is a double-edged sword and should only be used on melee and strength-focused characters. As long as strength is the most used stat by the character, this mask does offer some use, as a Barbarian doesn’t need to worry about their Intelligence.

Where To Find The Devilfoil Masks

A Devilfoil Mask On The Ground

There are four Devilfoil masks that can be found throughout the Grymforge, with all four able to be used on your party at once for maximum benefits.

  • The first mask is the easiest to find and is on the table across from the merchant in the main room of the Grymforge. Taking this mask will be stealing, so it’s best to handle the Dueger with True Soul Nere first.
  • On the other side of the rubble that needs to be cleared out by the Deep Rothe, on the opposite wall near the skeleton by the stairs.
  • Continue up the stairs and halfway across the trapped pathway. Climb the ladder down and have one character stand on the metal platform while another character pulls the left then right lever. The character on the platform will need to pick the lock on the metal door ahead, then through the wooden door on the right side of the large room they enter. Defeat the enemies within and loot the Merregon to get the mask.
  • The next mask can be found in the same room along the decorated table on the opposite side of the door.

Players can also give these masks to Dammon at the Last Light Inn in Act 2 to turn them into powerful explosives while losing the mask.
